Lynayn
Mielke is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore
Campus with a degree in Biological Psychology and a graduate of the
Tai Sophia Institute with a Masters degree in Acupuncture. She opened
the Classical Acupuncture and Wellness Centre in 2001 and the East-West
Tea Emporium in 2002. She has had a lifelong interest in tea and
in 2001 began to study tea with respect to its health properties. She
has earned Level III Certification as a Tea Professional from the Specialty
Tea Institute of the U.S. and has completed an intensive Tea Tutorial
with Pearl Dexter, publisher and editor of “Tea-A Magazine.”
She continues her tea education each year at the World Tea Expo and
in 2006 attended and purchased tea at the first ever tea auction held
in the United States.
